ROYSE CITY – Mrs. Lennie Lee Ester McMahan died Saturday at 5:30 p.m. in a Greenville nursing home.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. today at the Royse City Funeral Home with the Rev. B.J. Bell, pastor of the Park Street Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Caddo Mills IOOF cemetery. Pallbearers will be Guy Payne, Jimmy Hill, Paul Farmer, Grady Farmer, Sambo Lankford, and Charlie Welch Boyce.
Mrs. McMahan was born Sept. 5, 1896 in Newport, Tenn., the daughter of Isaac and Lucinda Bryant Clevenger. She married James Howard McMahan on Aug. 2, 1916, who preceded her in death on May 1, 1960. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Miss Maude McMahan of Caddo Mills, two sons, Marcus McMahan, Greenville and Malcolm McMahan of Caddo Mills; one brother, Dan Clevenger of Morristown, Tenn.; one sister, Mrs. Sally Shults of Newport, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews including John McMahan, who was raised in the home of Mrs. McMahan, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Marvin and Michael McMahan in addition to her husband.
