PAWHUSKA -- Ollie Susan Workmon Rider, the mother of the late Oscar-winning actor Ben "Son" Johnson Jr., died Monday. She was 101.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Pawhuska.
Rider was born in Sac River, Mo., and married Fredie Fay Rider in 1940 in Olathe, Kan.
She is survived by two grandsons, Ben Miller of Queen Creek, Ariz., and John Miller of Cave Creek, Ariz.; a granddaughter, Ann Whitehorn of Pawhuska; nine great-grandchildren; and five great- great-grandchildren.
