FUNERAL TOOK PLACE FROM RESIDENCE OF HER SON, JOHN A. LEWIS, THURSDAY MORNING AT 11 O'CLOCK— INTERMENT IN LINWOOD

Mrs. N. M. Lewis, aged 85 years, died at the residence of her son, Mr John A. Lewis, 1331 Third avenue, Wednesday morning, at 2 o'clock, following a lingering illness from general debility.

Mrs. Lewis was a member of the Presbyterian church and has resided in this city for a number of years.

She had a wide circle of friends, all of whom were deeply grieved to learn of her demise.

Surviving Mr. Lewis are three daughters, Mrs. Mary E. Griffin, Miss Anna Bell and Alabama Lewis, and one son, Mr. John A. Lewis, all of whom have the heartfelt sympathy of their friends in their hours of sad bereavement.

The funeral will be conducted from the late residence Thursday morning at 11 o'clock. Dr. I. S. McElroy, assisted by Rev. W. A. Carter, will officiate, and the interment will be in Linwood Cemetery.

The following will be the pallbearers R. Howard, E. B. Cartledge, B. H. Harris, W. B. Thayer, J. M. Giddens and W. C. Pease.
