Mrs. Margaret Strawn
Belvidere, Ill., March 13. - Mrs. Margaret Ann Strawn, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Weaver, 1119 Garfield ave., shortly after midnight Sunday, following an illness of six months.
She was born in Pennsylvania, Nov. 18, 1850 and traveled overland with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Garrett McQuillen, to Jasper county, Iowa, where the home was made for several years. In 1865, she was married to George Kelton of Jasper county, Iowa, who died four years later, leaving two children, Mrs. Jesse Weaver of Sycamore, Ill., and Mrs. Samuel Rorabaugh of Beloit.
In 1871 she was married to Theodore Strawn of Kirkland, who died four years ago. Of this union there survive five sons, LeRoy, Harvey, Ralph, William and Charles, all of Belvidere, and two daughters, Mrs. Walter Weaver of this city and Mrs. Fred Petrie of Sycamore and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday from the home of Mrs. Weaver on Garfield ave. at 1 o'clock and interment will be in Charter Oak cemetery.
