"Funeral services were held May 20 for Emory R. Buffington, 64, Uniontown Road, who died may 17 at Mt. Wilson Hospital, Baltimore, afteer a short illness. He was born in Carroll County, a son of the late John E. and Mary Boone Buffington. His wife, the late Carrie Crabbs Buffington, died two years ago. Surviving are children: Richard C, Mrs. Mary Jane Nevius, Gerald L., all of Westminster area; Mrs. Jeanne Heltibridle, Manassas, Virginia; Miss Linda; a sister, Mrs. Thomas Wachter, Union Bridge; and 13 grandchildren.
Services were at D.D. Hartzler and Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Argyl Dick officiated. Burial was in Lutheran Cemetery."
