Mrs. Lucinda Habel, 86, wife of Harry F. Habel, Meyersdale, died Feb. 3, 1973, in Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born April 13, 1886, in Larimer Township, she was a daughter of the late William and Minerva (Geiger) Mazer.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two stepchildren, William H.Habel, Lancaster, and Mrs. Samuel R. Philson, Meyersdale; seven step-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. George Beall, Cumberland; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Habel was a former school teacher, was a member of White Oak Lutheran Church and served as its organist for 22 years, belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star, Meyersdale Woman's Club, the Golden Age Club here and was a member of Hillcrest Grange for more than 50 years.
Funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon in Konhaus Funeral Home, Meyersdale, with the Rev. William Snyder officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
