The body of Dr. Thomas Hall Cox who died at his home here Wednesday morning at 9:45, was taken to Atlanta last night by express where funeral services were held today with interment in an Atlanta cemetery. Dr. Cox was 70 years of age and had been in ill health for the past six months. He was born and reared in Atlanta where he spent most of his life. He had lived in Americus and Sumter County for the past year.
Surviving the deceased are his wife, Mrs. Mary E. Cox, and six young sons, the eldest of which is fourteen years of age: Thomas Eugene, John Carol, Robbie, Everett, Wiley and Charles Cox. The family will return to Americus in a few days.
