Obituary / Additional Information: New Knoxville, O, Dec. 7-Mrs. Anna Louise MECKSTROTH, 96, R.R.1, the community's oldest woman resident, died Saturday at 11 p.m. at her home south of here. Death was caused from infirmities of old age following an illness of several months. Mrs. MECKSTROTH was born May 1, 1863, in Washington Township, the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth WIERWILLE LAMMERS. She married Charles A. MECKSTROTH April 8, 1886 and he preceded her in death in 1946. Survivors include eight children, Jacob A. MECKSTROTH, Columbus, Editor of the Ohio State Journal for years, Gustav A. MECKSTROTH, Orlando, Florida, Dr. Emil J. MECKSTROTH, Sandusky, the Rev. R.B. MECKSTROTH, Mrs. Caroline HOLTKAMP, Mrs. Matilda FLEDDERJOHANN, Mrs. Ferd (Ella) WELLMAN and Mrs. A.F. (Meta) HOGE, all of New Knoxville; 19 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren. Mrs. MECKSTROTH was a member of the First E. and R. Church here. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. F.J. Lowenbergh officiating. Burial will be made in the Evangelical Protestant cemetery. Friends may call at the Vornholt Funeral Home in New Bremen any time after noon Tuesday until Wednesday morning when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state from 11 a.m. until the service.
