Venia Dunbar Meece was born June, 1894 to James S. Dunbar and Cordelia Meadows. When she was only 15 years old, she married Charles V Meece of Pulaski Co, KY. They had 4 known children: Earl Lee, Lonnie, Leonard (died in infancy), and Parker Meece. Venia, age 25, her husband, and their infant son Parker died within days of each other during the Spanish Influenza outbreak of 1918, leaving behind as orphans their sons Earl and Lonnie.
