Deborah Beaumont Martin was the daughter of U.S. Congressman, Morgan Lewis Martin. She was the librarian of the Kellogg Public Library from 1900, until her death in 1931. She devoted much of her life to the study of the history of Wisconsin and that of Brown County, in particular. She was the author of History of Brown County (1913), co-author of Historic Green Bay (1893), editor of the Green Bay Historical Bulletin, and was the president of the Neville Public Museum.
