Simon P. Lynch Is Dead.
Well Known Old Citizen Succumbs to Catarrh of the stomach. Simon P. Lynch died at his home in the city at 3 o'clock Monday morning of catarrh of the stomach. His condition had been hopeless for more than a week. Mr. Lynch was very well known and had many old friends. He was nearly 76 years of age. He was born in West Bedford, Coshocton county, Ohio, June 15, 1824. In 1843 he was married to Margaret Divan, of the same place, and she now survives him. He cam to Cadiz in Green county in 1849, and bought a farm and moved there the following year. He was the father of thirteen children, all growing to manhood and womanhood, one son, John, dying in 1890. He resided on his farm until the spring of 1893? when he moved to this city. He was one of the prominent and influential citizens of Cadiz during the many years he resided there and he stood high in the respect and esteem of all who knew him.
