John Webb Born on 23 Oct 1655 in Braintree, MA. John died in Boston, MA, on 1 Jul 1727; he was 71.
"John Webb ye sonne of Christo : Webb & of Hannah his wife borne [Boston Records, Braintree births, NEHGS Register, v. 11 p. 335].
"Jno Webb & Bathia Addams were maried May by Joseph Dudley assistant, 1680."
A miller at the grist mill on the Monatiquat River. Removed to Boston late in life, where he was a "distiller."
In May 1680 when John was 24, he first married Bethiah Adams, daughter of Joseph Adams & Abigail Baxter, in Braintree, MA. Born on 20 Dec 1661 in Braintree, MA. 3 Dec per Vinton. Bethiah died in Braintree, MA, on 6 Oct 1698; she was 36.
Between 1708 and 1713 John Webb and his son Samuel purchased interests in the Charlestown Mill. Were they still living in Braintree? NEHGS Register v. 56 p. 237.
