A memorial service for longtime Willamina resident April Elaine Bolson of Sheridan will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Willamina.

A celebration of her life, including a potluck meal and music, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Fendall Hall, Willamina.

Bollman Funeral Home, Dallas, will be open for viewing until 6 p.m. today.

Mrs. Bolson died of cancer March 19, 2002. She was 53.

She was born March 21, 1948, in Seattle, the daughter of Harry and Gwen Olmstead. She moved in 1968 to McMinnville, where she lived for more than a year. She lived in Willamina from about 1970 to 2001, then moved to Sheridan.

She was a homemaker while raising her children and later worked at Fort Hill Lounge. She retired due to disability.

Survivors include four daughters, Teasha Scott, Sandy Pond and Amanda Bolson, all of Sheridan, and Wendy Bolson of Canby; her mother of Sheridan; a brother, Dennis Hedrick of Sheridan; a sister, Laurel Porter of Kent, Wash.; and 13 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Bolson, and her father.
