Julia Richards Taylor Marshall, 87, of Springdale and formerly of Provo, died Wednesday, November 23, 1983, at the Mountain View Hospital in Payson following an illness.
She was born August 16, 1896, in Provo, the daughter of Frederick Whitaker and Amelia Richards Taylor. She married Milton Marshall, September 7, 1918, in Salt Lake City. He died September 16, 1961.
She attended public school in Provo and also Brigham Young Academy. She lived in Provo most of her life, moving to Springville in 1980.
She was a member of BYU Women, Timpanogos Gem and Mineral Society, and the Utah Historical Society.
Survivors include four sons and one daughter: Dr. John T. Marshall of Springville, Robert T. Marshall of Wilmette, Illinois; Mrs Ernest M (Marie) Miner of Canoga Park, California; Paul T Minter of Henderson, Nevada; Mark T. Marshall of Reseda, California; 21 grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Stanley (Alice) Cox of Springdell, Provo Canyon; Mrs Milton (Helen) Woods of Orem.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Wheeler Mortuary Chapel, 211 East 200 South, Springville. Friends may call at the mortuary Friday, 7-9 p.m., or Saturday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
