She was born March 3, 1932 in Terre Haute to the late Maurice Jenkins and to Thelma Tilley Jenkins.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Robert L. Pruett whom she married on March 4, 1950. Also surviving is one son, Robert A. Pruett of Terre Haute; two daughters, Linda K. Hoar and Sheila M. Murphy both Terre Haute; three brothers, Ed Jenkins of Florida, Wendell Jenkins of Rosedale and Don Jenkins of Terre Haute; one sister, Kaye Puckett of Terre Haute; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren;
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sherri L. Maksimovich and one step-brother, Emerson Effner;
She was a member of Christus Victor Lutheran Church in North Terre Haute. Services are 11:00 am Tuesday, April 26, in Christus Victor Lutheran Church at 8461 E. Budd Road in North Terre Haute with the Rev Tom Morgan officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in North Terre Haute.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church or Hospice of the Wabash Valley, 600 S. First St. Terre Haute, IN 47807 in her memory. Care and arrangements entrusted to Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home, Rosedale.
