Carl was the son of Julius Albert and Leona (Begalke) Grumann.

Carl Grumann, age 94, a resident of the Hamilton Memorial Home, formerly of 3706 Tannery Road, Two Rivers, and Village Green East, died Friday, on April 13, 2007, at the Hamilton Home. Carl was born on April 17, 1912, in Two Rivers, the oldest child of Julius and Minnie (Begalke) Grumann. He graduated from Washington High School, Two Rivers, with the class of 1931. On June 9, 1934, Carl was married to Mollie Langmann at St. John's Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Over the years, Carl was employed at Langer Bros. Garage, Hamilton Manufacturing Co., and retired from the Aluminum Goods in Two Rivers. During the war, he also worked at Kahlenberg Machine Shop. Carl was very well known for his self employment of saw sharpening, having a shop in Manitowoc for many years, and later relocating the shop to Two Rivers. During the many years of good health, he enjoyed gardening, dancing, raising his animals on his 20 acres of land, and the couple loved to travel. (Survivors omitted for privacy.) He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law: Carol Grumann; and a sister: Flora Michalek. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 21, 2007, in the activity room at Hamilton Memorial Home, 1 Hamilton Drive, Two Rivers. Burial of his cremated remains will take place at a later date. Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers, is assisting the Grumann family with funeral arrangements.
