PRESQUE ISLE: Mack "Sonny" "Bones" Ayotte Jr. 76 passed away January 6, 2012 at Cary Medical Center in Caribou. He was born in Presque Isle on January 11, 1935, the son of Mack and Edna (Higgins) Ayotte Sr. . Mack worked for Carroll's Auto Sales for 50 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time with family, going to Dunkin Donuts, and running cars for Carroll's. He is survived by two sons, Mack Ayotte III and his wife Vicki of Orland, and Matthew Ayotte of Presque Isle. Two daughters Susan Tardiff of Blaine, Tina Caron and her husband William"Tib" Caron of Presque Isle, two brothers Beryl Ayotte of Presque Isle, and Bernard Ayotte of Mapleton, two sisters; Maxine McPherson of Worcester, MA. and Jeanette Ayotte of Westfield, six grandchildren; Bryan Caron, Bethany (Caron) Staples, Benjamin and Ericah Cheney, Marvel and Marley Ayotte, a great granddaughter Camden York, a special companion Janet Jaillet of Presque Isle, and a special friend Wesley Miller of Presque Isle.
He was predeceased by his wife Ethel Mae (Christie) Ayotte in 1998.
Spring interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle. (Bangor Daily News posted 1/6/2012)
