She was born Jan. 3, 1923, in Corry, Pa., a daughter of Elmer and Mable Deming Bigelow.
She was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1943 to 1945. She was employed by The Post-Journal in the mailroom.
She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church and the Eagles Club.
Surviving are three children: Steven Kiendl of Ellington, Timothy (Jackie) Kiendl of Phoenix, Ariz., and Cynthia Henry of Jamestown; five grandchildren: Michael, Aaron and David Kiendl and Matthew and Michelle Harrison; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Houghwot of Jamestown; and best friend, Gloria Johnson of Jamestown.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Orlando, who died May 5, 1982; six brothers: Benjamin, Charles, Buster, Burton, Francis and John David Bigelow; and two sisters: Ruth Farren and Florence Mawhir.
