Funeral services were held Saturday, February 15, 1975, from the United Methodist Church in Holyoke, for Charles L. Heinlen, 81, who passed away February 12, at Melissa Memorial Hospital.
Rev. Evan Brian officiated at the services. Interment was in Holyoke Memorial Park.
Charles Lester Heinlen was born March 28, 1893 in Queen City, Missouri, to Isaac and Hannah Heinlen.
He was married to Gladys Anna Garmon in 1913. In 1917 they moved to Amherst. He lived in and around Holyoke until the time of his death.
He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, and two grandsons.
He is survived by two sons, Junior of Commerce City and Harold of Tuscon, Arizona; three sisters, Clara Manning of Lancaster, Missouri, Laura Beerbower of Hurdland, Missouri, and Freda Yearns of Queen City, Missouri; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many friends.
