Orvis Israel Mann
WOODS CROSS, Davis County - Orvis Israel Mann, 62, died Friday at 11:25 p.m. at his residence in Woods Cross after a lingering illness.
A lifelong resident of Bountiful and Woods Cross, Mr. Mann was a former Bountiful city marshal and Davis county deputy sheriff. He had also engaged in farming here.
He was born Nov. 19, 1886, in Bountiful, a son of William Charles and Harriet Louisa Call Mann, and married Myrtle Holbrook. She died June 28, 1939.
On Nov. 1, 1939 he married Grace S. Richie in the Salt Lake temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Mr. Mann was a high priest In the West: Bountiful L D S ward.
Survivors include his widow; four daughters and three sons. Gerald Mann, Kaysville; Mrs. Margie Coston, Mrs. June Moss, Mrs. Fay Tutorow, Mrs. Thayle Argyle, all of Woods Cross: William C. Mann, Fillmore; Kenneth C. Mann, La Jolla, Cal.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Grace Mitchell and Mrs. Peggy Morrison, Woods, Cross, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Ella Gailey, Mrs. Levinia Earl, Mrs. Hilda Condie, Mrs. Evelyn Layton, Mrs. Gladys Hedgpeth, William C. Mann, Newell Mann, Mrs. Samantha E. Biding and Mrs. Stella Radmal, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Mary Waite, Eagle, Ida.; Anson Mann, Rupert, Ida.; Theron Mann, Pocatello, Ida.; Albert and David Mann, Woods Cross, and Leonard Mann, LeRoy, Kan.
Funeral services will be conducted Tues day at 2 p.m. in the West Bountiful L D S ward by Robert W. Telford, bishop. Burial will be in the Bountiful city cemetery.
Friends may call at the Union mortuary. Bountiful, Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday prior to serviced.
