SUSAN WHITE HOLSWORTH

HOLSWORTH, Susan White, 55, of Richmond, died on Sunday, October 2, 2011.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth Young White and George
Ludlow White Jr. of Richmond. She is survived by her beloved husband, Dr.
Robert D. Holsworth; her daughter, Nora Carolyn Byrd, both of Richmond; her
sister, Ellen Yoder of Massachusetts; her brother, George L.White III of
Iowa; her sister, Carolyn MacLean White of Richmond; and a number of nieces
and nephews. Susan was the senior librarian for the Afton Chemical
Corporation, where she worked for 19 years, and was an active member of
Grace and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Richmond. She also served for
several years on the Richmond Performing Arts Committee. Susan was revered
for her warm heart, love of life and generosity of spirit. She will be
missed by a host of loving family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Grace and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church,
Wednesday, October 5, at 2 p.m. Susan's family asks that donations, instead
of flowers, be sent to the Thomas Palliative Care Foundation at the Massey
Cancer Center of Virginia Commonwealth University.
