Funeral services for Jimmy Clifford Atmar will be held in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2012. Burial will follow at Colonial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation was held Wednesday, January 4, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Atmar passed away December 31, 2011.

Jimmy Atmar was born October 5, 1965 to Joan Annette Bullock and Rex Lee Atmar in Gladewater, TX. Jimmy was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church and Peace Fellowship Church in Diana. He was a heavy haul trucker for Trendsetters Construction in Gladewater. Jimmy was an avid hunter and fisherman. He married Sheri Ann Nix on January 6, 1986 in Longview. Jimmy is survived by his wife Sheri Atmar of Diana, daughter Jennifer Jobe, son Joseph Allen Atmar, both of White Oak, father Rex Lee Atmar of Buna, TX, mother Joan Annette Bullock Payne of White Oak, brothers Walter Atmar of White Oak and Benjamin and Renee Atmar and of Manvel, TX and his sister Angela and Henry Alexander of Marshall. He is also survived by 3 nieces Alexis and Jordan Alexander, Slaci Jo Atmar and his mother-in-law Betty Nix of Conroe, TX.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Brice, Eddie Don Silveria, Roy Lee Jones, Jordan Tollison, David Hamm and Matt Hearn.
