Robert "Bob" Gene Henderson , 76, of Pierceton and formerly of Elwood , went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 3, 2012 at Mason Health Care Center in Warsaw.
Bob was born on October 23, 1935 to Glenn and Virgest (Disbennett) Henderson in Elwood. On March 16, 1957, he married Myrna Reynolds she survives. Bob was retired from DePuy in Warsaw, he was a member of the Church of God in North Webster and the East Main Street Christian Church in Elwood. He enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, bowling in his younger years and loved to tease people, and was a great dad.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Myrna Henderson of Pierceton , Son - Todd Henderson of Elwood; Daughter - Tammy Rogers of Elwood; Grandchildren - Shay Henderson, Maryanne Henderson, Jacob Henderson, Randy Rogers; Four Great Grandchildren with two more on the way; Sisters - Elaine Williams of IL, Neva Goforth of Elwood, and several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by Father, Glenn Henderson, Mother, Virgest Ruth Henderson, Step Mother , Laverne Henderson, Grandson Danny Rogers, Two Brothers, One Sister, and Two Step Brothers.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 06, 2012 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012, 11:00 am with visitation one hour before the services at the Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, Indiana, with Rev. Roger Gardner, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Sunset Memorial Park.
