James Franklin Gore, age 85 of Lithia Springs, passed away, December 14, 2011.
He was born August 4, 1926 to the late Joseph Quillian Gore and Vassie Mae Holleman Gore. He was a Veteran of WWII Navy and during his career worked for Chrysler as an automotive service representative. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lithia Springs.
In addition to his parents: Joseph Quillian Gore and Vassie Mae Holleman, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sara A. Green.
Survivors are his wife, Edna Mae Pirkle Gore of Lithia Springs; daughter and son-in-law: Julie G. & Kenneth A. Johnson of Douglasville; sons and daughters-in-law: J. Timothy & Sharon Gore of Lubbock, TX, Larry E. & Kay Gore of Lawrenceville, GA; brother: Bobby Gore of Lithia Springs; grandchildren: Zachary Johnston and Jacqueline and husband, Jon Halfacre.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 16th at 11:00AM from Hightower's Memorial Chapel with Dr. Marion H. Beaver officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends, Thursday, December 15th from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring to do so may make contributions to the s First Baptist Church of Lithia Springs, 3566 Veterans Memorial Highway, Lithia Springs, GA in memory of Mr. Gore.
