Billie Jane was born September 22, 1922 in Joplin, Missouri to George and Mayme Etta Young Henderson Idle. She passed away on January 1, 2012 in Ogden, Utah.

As Billie Jane was growing up the family moved many times and she graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1941 and later had her own beauty salon in Longview, Washington.

She had a variety of interests including cooking, designing and sewing clothing, drawing, sketching, family research, temple work, and especially her family. Billie

Jane was active in the LDS Church and at one time was the Dance Director for her Stake in Seattle, Washington and later was a Relief Society President - once in Branson, Missouri and once in Bountiful, Utah. She served a Service Mission in Bountiful.

She had a wonderful sense of humor and delighted in referring to herself as "Sillie Billie" and as she aged to Sillie Pillie Billie.

She married Don Bennett on June 8, 1970 and they were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on August 21, 1984. He passed away on March 10, 1991.

Billie Jane was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sisters and brother. She is survived by step-children: Dawn (Clement) Bentley of Price and Larry Bennett of Washington, Utah. She is also survived by many loving and cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and cousins, as well as many friends that love her.

Special thanks to friends at Golden Links, Crestwood Care Center, Dr. Woolman, and Legacy Hospice for their care and love for Billie.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2012 in the Centerville City Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street.
