John Henry Valentine, 79
of Linden Avenue, died early this morning at Mercy Hospital.
A native of Boyd County, Ky; he was retired from the Norfolk and Western Railroad after 47 years of service.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Blanton Valentine; four sons,
Johnny Edward Valentine of Centerville, Bill Valentine of Monroe, Mich; Harold Valentine of Wheelersburg, and James Valentine of Portsmouth; two brothers, Frank Valentine of Franklin Furance and Andrew Valentine of Ironton; four sisters Mrs. Ann Winn of Arizona, and
Mrs Mary Thomas, Debra Valentine and Nellie Valentine of Franklin Furance; 14 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Service is 11 a.m. Thursday at Harrison Funeral Home in Wheelersburg and interment in Junior Furance Cemetery.
Friend may call at the funeral home from to 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
