Elizabeth "Lizzie" Christine Neuland was born on February 23 1866, in Frostburg, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Lewis Romeo Neuland and Hannah Bittinger. She married Dennis Cornelius McFadden on February 18 1886, in Washington County, Pennsylvania. They were the parents of twins: Bertha and Ella, who died in infancy; John J., Edward Vincent, Charles, Mary Cecelia, Sister M. Donata (Margaret Elizabeth) IHM, Daniel, Cornelius Paul, Ruth, and John Robert. She died on August 20 1949, in New York, at the age of 83, and was buried with her husband and some of her children at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Coal Center, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
