Mrs. Edwards was born May 5, 1918, in Harrisonburg, and was the daughter of the late Harry Lee and Laura Wise Dechert.
She graduated from St. Margaret's High School in Tappahanock and attended the Traphagen School of Arts and Design.
Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard B. Yancey, and Thomas G. Edwards.
Survivors include a son, a daughter, six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Woodbine Cemetery in Harrisonburg with the Rev. Jim Kite officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
Arrangements are by Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
