Carl "Jake" Klein, 85, of Henrietta , TX passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2012 in Wichita Falls , TX .
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Henrietta, TX with Father Richard Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Hope Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta , TX . A Christian Wake will be held at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM.
Mr. Klein was born November 22, 1926 in Henrietta , TX to Carl T. and Clyde Marie (Perkins) Klein. He married JoAnn Marie Schenk on May 3, 1962 in Wichita Falls , TX . He was a Farmer and a Rancher, as well as a member of the Catholic Church. Mr. Klein was employed by the Harry Scaling Ranch for 37 years and 62 years for the Smith Ranch.
He was preceded in death by his parents;two sisters, Katherine Bullinger; Geneive Clyde(Klein) Pittman; and 2 infant brothers.
Survivors include his wife JoAnn Klein of Henrietta, TX; son,Randall Thomas "Randy" Klein and wife Angela of Henrietta, TX; step-daughter Linda Bevering and husband Jack of Charlie TX; 2 step-sons Steve Hardman and wife Marilyn of Wichita Falls, TX and Howard Hardman and wife Janice of Wichita Falls, TX; brother Clarence Klein of Henrietta, TX; 5 sisters Margaret Watson of Gainsville, TX, Pauline Caswell of Sunset, TX, Edna Mae Klein of Henrietta, TX, Frances Essler of Scotland, TX, and Carla Whitaker of Bowie, TX; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
