Born in Trevorton, July 29, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Gryskiewicz) Kidron.
A lifelong resident of Trevorton, Caroline attended Trevorton schools and worked as a seamstress in local garment factories.
On July 3, 1948, she was married to John W. Donovan, who preceded her in death Dec. 10, 1982.
She was a member of St. Patrick Church, Trevorton, and also a member of Trevorton American Legion Post 92 Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph Donovan and his wife, Pat, of Paxinos, and John Donovan and his wife, Connie, of Spring Glen; two grandchildren, Todd and William Donovan; a great-grandchild, Zeke, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Michelle Donovan; two sisters, Mary Dunn and Veronica Smith, and four brothers, John, Joseph, Francis and Peter Kidron.

DONOVAN — Caroline Donovan, 90, of W. Coal St., Trevorton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Church, Trevorton, with a parish friar as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Trevorton. A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 to 9:45 a.m. Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Caroline's memory to St. Patrick Church Memorial Fund, 331 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton 17881. Robert G. Foust Jr. Funeral Home, Trevorton, has charge of arrangements.
