Rotchford Houston, 93, died at 5:20 a.m. on Oct. 20, 1973 at the Itawamba County Hospital after a lengthly illness. He was a member and Deacon of East Fulton Baptist Church. He was also a retired farmer. He was a son of the late George Houston and Luranie Waddle Houston. Services were held Oct. 21 from East Fulton Baptist Church with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery with Senter Funeral Home of Fulton in charge.

Survivors included one son, Quincy Houston of Fulton; four daughters, Mrs. Ozella Bowen of Fulton, Mrs. Opal Hughes of Tupelo, Mrs. Costell Franks of Mantachie, and Mrs. Lera DeVaughn of Guntown; one brother, Lunceford Houston of Booneville; two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Lindsey and Mrs. Effie Goodin, both of Booneville; 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
