The Hampshire Review, May, 1886

Died at the residence of his son, B. B. Swisher, at Sedan, On Tuesday the
11th of May, 1886, Henry Swisher in his 85th year. The death of Mr. S. was very
sudden and unexpected. He got up as well as usual, ate his breakfast, helped
his little grandchildren to turn the cows to pasture, then went to the river a
fishing. The next that was known of him was about 9 o'clock A.M.,he was found
by Ben Swisher's little boy lying on the barn floor dead.
As there was a heavy thunder storm come up a short time after he started a
fishing, it is supposed that he walked very fast to get to the barn out of the
storm, and over exerted himself and died of apoplexy.
Mr. Swisher was an old and respected citizen and will be much missed by his
many friends and relatives. He was a former resident of Hardy Co. the
