Kathleen Polk, 84, of Valdosta, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012 at her residence.

She was born Aug. 30, 1927 in Berrien County to the late Walter W. Lewis and the late Girlie Ann Mathis. She was a homemaker and a retired LPN. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. She was the widow of Lacy B. Polk, who died in 1994, and was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Allen Weeks, who died in 2005.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Weeks of Cairo; her son, Bobby (Pat) Polk of Nashville; three sisters, Inez Bailey of Valdosta and Myrtice Sutton and Marie Clark, both of Clewiston, Fl;a. four grandchildren, Lynn (Ben) Warren of Nashville, Bobby Ann (Tommy) Hester of Adel, Dennis Weaver of Cairo and Ryan (Braxton) Harrell of Cairo; seven great-grandchildren, Dustin Warren, Catherine Warren and Lindsey Warren, all of Nashville, Ren Hester and Lacey Anna Hester, both of Adel, Kylie Weaver and Parker Harrell, both of Cairo; and a great-great-grandson, Keegan Livingston of Nashville.
