Passed away January 09, 1970, Mrs. Helen Lehr, aged 75, years, beloved wife of Mr. Edward Lehr of 1214 Queen Street, Medicine Hat; dear mother of Harry Schmidt and Mrs. Walter (Bertha) Wuerfel of Medicine Hat, Mrs. J. (Hilda) Carson of Stirling, Scotland, Mrs. Don (Helen) Suttie of Calgary, Miss Tina Schmidt of Cameroon, South Africa, Mrs. Ralph (Ida) Young of Ottawa, Ontario, Mrs. Harvey (Elsie) Jesperson of Wetaskiwin, Alberta, and Mrs. Harvey (Jean) Merritt of Victoria, British Columbia.
Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren; four brothers, John Deibert of Foremost, Alberta, Chris Deibert of Lethbridge, Alberta, Jacob Deibert of Olds, Alberta, and Edward Deibert of Cardston, Alberta.
Born in Hoffnungstal, South Russia, March 10, 1894, she came to Canada with her parents from South Dakota, farming in the Sandy Point district until 1949. She married Edward Lehr in 1950, when she came to Medicine Hat and lived her until her passing followwing a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Lehr was predeceased by her first husband, Henry Schmidt in 1944.
Reverend C. Remple will conduct the funeral services from Grace Baptist Church on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in Hillside Cemetery with arrangements by the Pattison Funeral Home.
