BUTTZ

Floy Buttz, daughter of Ira and Pearl Dyer, was born March 19, 1921 and passed away at the Lucas County Memorial Hospital May 6, 1985 at the age of 64.

She lived her entire life in Lucas County.

On June 5, 1943 she was united in marriage to Weston Daniel Buttz, and to this union seven children were born: Mrs. Don (Permelia) Hamilton of Dawn, Mo., Mrs. Russell (Dianna) Kuiken, Virginia Evans, Mrs. Gene (Becky) Adams, Eddie Buttz and Debbie Stahl, all of Chariton, and Mrs. Pete (Nancy) Chiri, of Williamson.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother and one sister, Opal Vesey.

Survivors include her husband, Weston Buttz; six daughters and one son; four sons-in-law; one daughter-in-law; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; six sisters, Beulah Grismore of Corydon, Evah Monteith of LaPorte City, Lena Mattly of Seymour, Lova Stuart of Iowa City, Donna Gookin of Chariton and Leta Guthrie of Corydon; and two brothers, Coy Dyer of Chariton and Lyle Dyer of Las Vegas, Nev.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 1985 at the Fielding Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Walters officiating. Bearers were Dave Valentine, Donald Mason, Kenny Grismore, Allen Grismore, Melvin Grismore and Harold Mason. Honorary bearers were Jimmie Watson, Jason Evans, John Buttz, Jamie Buttz and Rusty Kuiken. Burial was in the Chariton Cemetery.
