Lisha Alfred "L.A." Braswell, 87, of Tifton died Monday, March 1, 2011 at Tift Health Care. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Dr. W. Ches Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 4, 2011 evening from 7:00 - 9:00 P.M at Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors.

Mr. Braswell was born in Chester on December 27, 1923 to Alfred Patterson Braswell and Lillie Mae Upshaw Braswell both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Braswell; and his sisters, Minnie Lou Tindall, Velma Hale, and Evelyn Tawzer. Mr. Braswell served during World War II in the Army Air Corp. He retired as Senior Vice President of First Community Bank after 42 years in banking. He was a member of the Tifton Exchange Club and of the First Baptist Church of Tifton where he served as his Sunday school Class treasurer.
