Mrs. Cora Pickering is Laid to Rest, Myrtle Cemetery
Mrs. Cora Pickering, 78, pioneer resident of Ellis County, who died Wednesday at the Ennis Municipal Hospital following an illness of several weeks, was buried in Myrtle Cemetery. The rites were held by the Rev. R. C. Fling. Mrs. Pickering, formerly Cora Pattie, was born Aug 8, 1866, at Bagdad, Frankfurt County, in Kentucky. She was married to Timothy T. Pickering in 1884 and he passed away more than forty-five years ago. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Earl Andrews of Byrd, Mrs. J. G. Irby of Houston and Mrs. Chester Lewis of Ennis, also four grandchildren, Timothy J. Andrews, Mary Ellen Andrews of Byrd, and T-Sgt. Thomas S.
