Obituary

Mrs. Ethel Rose, 68, of 403 Colonial Drive, died this morning, October 11,1966, in City Hospital.

She was born in Gallia County September 11, 1898, the daughter of Henry and Mary Shoemaker Amos and married April 3, 1920 in Gallipolis to Arnold Rose, who died February 2 of this year.

Surviving are a son, Mervin Rose, Fostoria; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Betty) Elkington, Fostoria, and Miss Hazel Rose, Tiffin; two brothers, Henry of Columbus and Marlin Amos of Addison, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Amanda Bean, Gallipolis; and five grandchildren. Two brothers and a sister are deceased.

Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Mann Funeral Home with the Rev. Mahlon Wenger officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. The family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
