Jud Teal was the son of William James Jonathan Teal & Ellen Jane Bobo Teal. He was one son in a family of nine in the first marriage and Seven more in WJJ's marriage to Martha A.E. Beck. Jud was married to Sarah Lou Ella Ena Collins in 1891 in Alabama. Jud and Sarah had eleven children, Leanor, Lillie, Herbert B., Viola, Lois, William 'Bill', Talma Theodore, Obie, Virginia and Buford. Jud and Sarah had most of their children in Texas, and finished raising their children in Lubbock Co. Tx. an area in which three of his brothers from the first family had come: Lucas Marion, Joseph, Tom, all settled in or near Lubbock Co. Tx. Sister Rebecca Ellen had married C.C. Campbell and they had settled closer to the head of the family (WJJ) and were at Millersview, Concho Co. Tx where brother James R.B. 'Jim' was also. Jud and Sarah lived out the rest of their lives in Idalou, Tx, where they both are buried.
