Keith Alvin Lusk, 82, of North Salem, died Sunday, January 1, 2012 at his home of natural causes.
He was born July 11, 1929, in Sugar City, Idaho to Alvin D and Minnie Mortimer Lusk. He grew up in the Hibbard and Sugar City areas. He attended grade school in Hibbard, graduated from Madison High School and attended Ricks College.
He married Gwen Chadburn on March 23, 1956, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in The Netherlands. He served in the Scouting and Young Men programs for many years. He was a dedicated home teacher.
He was a dairy farmer and rancher. He enjoyed the outdoors and his cows, horses and dogs. He loved his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Gwen, of North Salem; children, LaRue (Scott) Stimpson, of Wilford, Bryan Keith (Cheryl) Lusk, of Plano, George Alfred (Sandra) Lusk, of Hyde Park, Utah, Kenneth C (Terri) Lusk, of Washington, Utah, Steven Ray (Michelle) Lusk, of Wilford, Alvin LeRoy (Gloria) Lusk, of Wilford, Emily Ann (Mike) Jayme, of Price, Utah, Rodney Reed (Lisa) Lusk, of Plano, Samuel Kay (Kim) Lusk, of Wilford, and Daniel Jay (Mary) Lusk of Rexburg; a daughter-in-law, Leah Lusk; brothers, Orlin D. Lusk, of Wellsville, Utah, and Dale Lusk, of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada; 54 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lynn M. Lusk; a son, Paul Dee Lusk; granddaughter, Stephenny Stimpson; and grandson, Trevor Lusk.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, at the Salem LDS Chapel with Bishop Mike Vickers officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Wilford Cemetery.
