P.C. Blankenship aged 62 years, died of pneumonia at his home in Netherlands, four miles from Hayti, this morning at 2:15. Funeral services will be held by Rev. D. K. Foster of Caruthersville Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the Baptist Church in this city. Interment following in Woodlawn Cemetery. Deceased is survived by his wife, six sons, and two daughters all of whom reside in this county except one daughter, Mrs. Clara Ward living in Greenway, Arkansas and one son, George, whose whereabouts are not known at this time about one year having elapsed since he was heard from last.

Mr. Blankenship was a good citizen. For several years he lived in Hayti, owning a farm in the edge of town, but about two years ago sold out remaining here for a time and then removing to Netherlands. He will be sorely missed by his family who have the sympathy of the community.
