Roma Barnhurst Adolf was born to Edward William Barnhurst and Olivia Cloe Farnes Oct. 12, 1921 at Hatch, Utah, the second of 10 children.

She died Monday, Oct. 10, 2011 at North Big Horn Hospital in Lovell.

Roma married Henry Carl Adolf Sept. 7, 1940, in Lovell. Roma and Henry were blessed with six girls: Evon Marie (Jay) May of Lovell, Nancy Lee (the late Ken) Bullinger of Otto, Jeanette (David) Brinkerhoff, Marilyn (Lee) Sharp of Vernal, Utah, Rosiland (Tim) Harris of Lovell and Aneta Carol (Mike) Fink of Lovell. Roma and Henry were later sealed in the Jordan River Temple.

She is survived by daughters Evon, Nancy, Marilyn, Rosiland and Aneta, 31 grandchildren, 100 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Roma was preceded in death by husband Henry and daughter Jeanette.

Roma loved her family, making quilts, sewing, the many callings in the church, doing genealogy and going to the temple. She loved the Constitution of the United States of America and belonging to Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

Funeral services will be held in the Lovell LDS Stake Center Friday, Oct. 14. A viewing will be held at 1 p.m. with funeral services at 2 with Bishop Craig Walker officiating. Haskell Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
