Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church for Grant Hammersmith, 85, of 450 W. Parker St., who died at 9:30 p.m. Sunday at park View Gardens of Complications incident to advanced years.
He was born on July 16, 1881, in Michigan. He married Amelia Webster on April 28, 1956 in Nashua. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church and Townsend Club.
Friends may call at the Parrott & Wood Funeral Home after noontime Tuesday.
He is survived by his widow.

SINCERE Thanks and Deep Appreciation to Dr. Gerard, devoted nurses and aides at Allen Hospital, Allen Home and Parkview nursing home for their special care during the long illness of Grant Hammersmith and the comforting prayers of Rev. Landgrebe, Rev. Schreltmueller and Rev. Watters. Also sincere thanks to our many friends, neighbors and relatives for their kind deeds, food, gifts, flowers, and card during the illness and death of our husband and stepfather.
