GARBINSKY, Kathryn (Slipko)

Kathryn Garbinsky, 79, of Short Street, Ambridge, died Thursday, Oct 23, 1986 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a brief illness.

Born July 4, 1907 in Smoke Run, Pa.; daughter of the late Mike and Helen Scukalage Slipko, she was a resident of Ambridge for 60 years; a member of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Church, Ambridge St. Mary's Sisterhood of the church; UNA no. 276, St Nicholas Society and the Ukrainian National Aid Association, Branch no. 108.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Garbinsky, March 9, 1983 and daughter, Irene Roman, in 1962 Surviving are a son, John M. with who she resided; five grandchildren' three brothers, John Slipko, Bellmore, L. I., NY.,and Charles and George Slipko, both of Ambridge and two sisters Mary Meshongnek, Rockaway Park, NY and Eva Taszreak, Rossiter, Pa.

Friends will be received Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, where a service will be conducted Monday at 8 30 a m followed by a Rite of Service in St. Vladimir Othodox Church by rev, Father Amelan Mycyk, her pastor.
Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Township.

Parastas will be conducted Sunday at 7 30 pm in the funeral home.
