Mrs. Ida Newton, 87, Succumbs to Illness
WESTERLY-
Mrs. Ida Jane Palmer Newton, 87, widow of Frank H. Newton, died yesterday, Dec. 7, 1952,
at the home of her son, Harold L. Newton, in Dunn's Corners, following a lingering illness. She was born in North Stonington, June 4, 1865 and had lived in this section all of her life. Besides her son, with whom she made her home, she leaves another son, Frank E. Newton of Jewett City, two half sisters and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p. m. Wednesday at the Schilke Funeral home. Burial will be in Carey cemetery, Canterbury, Conn.
