In March of 1916, she and her husband, Prisciliano, went to the Saint Peter's/St. Joseph's Home (Orphanage) and brought home a beautiful little girl that was born on March 31, 1916. The child's name was Mary Margarite and later became know as Mary Margaret.
Maria had 11 grandchildren who absolutely adored her, Margaret Casanova, Ernest Casanova, Rose Marie Coker, Mary Agnes Thomas, Sylvia A. Garcia, Alice Ruth Campos, Gloria Jean Carvajal, Linda B. Burrage, Olga L. Looney, Charles Lamar Maldonado, and Elizabeth Katherine Ramon.
She had 35 great-grandchildren and many great great-grandchildren as well as great great great-grandchildren.
