Her grave stone in the Avoca Pioneer Cemetery, (known also as the Old Murray Barns Farm Cemetery) was mostly readable but broken in 1986.

Sarah is reported to have also been married to Alexander Morrison but I have found no proof of this.

"in memory of Sarah daughter of Gersham and Tamer Towner and wife of Joseph Shatack who with two infants a son and a daughter, died Feb. 21,1822, in the 36th year of her life" [Husbands name probably Joseph Shattuck?]
