He was born September 18, 1953 in Robertson Co, Tennessee to the late Jessie Boyd and Lizzie Lee Bibee; he worked in construction as a crane operator.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Loreen Bibee, brother, James Edward Goodwin and sister, Shirley Wilson.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday April 22, 2011 at 2:30 pm in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Mitchell Osborne officiating.
Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens with Matthew Goodwin, Dustin Goodwin, James Owens, Sandy Gordon, James Goodwin, Clifton Goodwin and Timothy Matherly serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 3-8 and again on Friday from 11 am until the hour of service at 2:30 pm.
Mr. Goodwin is survived by his wife, Carolyn Knight Goodwin of Greenbrier, sons, James Owens, Matthew (LeAnne) Goodwin and Dustin (Tracey) Goodwin all of Greenbrier, daughter, Wendye Goostree of Greenbrier and grandchildren, Kelsey, Casey, Riley, Cody, Gracie, Jordyn, Maddey and Macyejo.
If so desired, donations to the Bobby Ray Goodwin Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
