John Pierce Lowman died Saturday evening at 6 o'clock at the home of his brother, W. M. Lowman, on the southeastern suburb of the city, aged 72 years. He was a native of the county and a son of John Lowman, and had engaged in the pursuits of farming. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at Cecils Chapel church, with burial in the cemetery there, the Rev Mr. Jones officiating.
