James Wesley Brooks, 53, farmer of the Jordanville section of Horry County died June 9, 1960. Mr. Brooks was born Jan. 1, 1907, in the Galivants Ferry section of Horry County, a son of the late Charlie and Becky Johnson Brooks. He attended the Baptist Church and was a member of Jordanville Lodge. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Essie Martin Brooks; a son, H. W. Brooks, Rt. 3 Conway; a brother Jesse Brooks, Rt. 1 Aynor; two sisters Mrs. Maudie Johnson, Rt. 3 Conway and Mrs. B. W. Cottingham, Charlotte NC; two half brothers Joseph Graham, Rt. 1 Mt. Pleasant and Isaac Graham, Panama City FLA and five grandchildren.
